Want to Know What you Can Recycle?

Please place recyclalbes in BLUE RECYCLING BINS and note that the use of recycling bags is NOT required.

EPIC/SMILE of St. Malo Inc. asks that you PLEASE try to keep paper separate.

The following materials are accepted at the recycling facility:

  • ALUMINUM BEVERAGE CANS (Pop/Beer/etc.):
  • TIN CANS:
  • PAPER: All newspapers, flyers, books, magazines, office paper, phone books & wrapping paper
  • CARDBOARD: All cardboard (PLEASE FLATTEN)
  • MILK CARTONS & TETRA-PAK JUICE BOXES:     
  • GLASS AND JARS:  Bottles and jars           
  • PLASTICS:
    1. #1 – Soft drink bottles - PLEASE remove all caps
    2. #2 – Milk jugs, ice cream pails, margarine, yogurt, pill, shampoo, liquid laundry detergent containers, etc.:
    3. #4, #5 and #7 – Margarine, Ketchup & MISC containers

For sanitary and safety reasons PLEASE rinse all containers

PLEASE keep recycling bags to a maximum weight of 10 KG (20 LBS).

WE DO NOT RECYCLE THE FOLLOWING:  

  • All Styrofoam (including egg containers)
  • Used paper plates & napkins
  • Tissues
  • Diapers
  • Food scraps, etc.
  • #3 & #6 plastics
  • Any plastic bag
  • Motor oil containers
  • Containers that were used for poisonous or hazardous materials
